I Had NO DOUBT, This Focal Had To Be A Necklace | Exotic Blooms Tutori

Let’s see what’s in this month’s Soft Flex Challenge Design Kit. I’m going to show you what’s inside and make a necklace and earrings from the contents of this beautiful kit.

I actually opened this kit with my Jewel Box members on a Zoom call a few days ago, and I was excited to see the colours pink and green as the main focus.

This month’s kit is called Exotic Blooms

I can’t go any further without mentioning the beautiful shell pendant that was included in this kit. Isn’t it absolutely gorgeous!

I thought that the Exotic Blooms kit didn’t have as much in it as previous months but it was much more cohesive than others.

Here’s what was included.

Exotic Blooms Earrings

I started by making a cute pair of earrings. You can see how I did that in the video.

I used the pink acrylic flowers, large bead caps, silver tassels and the small pink beads from the strand. I also used an eyepin (New Zealand / US) and the earwires included in the pack.

Tools

The tools you will need to make all of these earrings are as follows:

Exotic Blooms Necklace

I made up several different components to make the necklace. I also used chain swags.

Here’s the materials I used in addition to the Exotic Blooms kit

Materials

Tools

The tools you will need to make all of this necklace are as follows:

I used the 1-Step Looper but you could use round nose pliers instead.

I also used the Memory Wire Cutters to cut my chain because it was stainless steel and I didn’t want to damage my Xuron Flush Cutters.

Useful Techniques

In this video I used the following techniques:

I’m Wearing

In this week’s video I’m wearing my Boho necklace.

I’m also wearing a pair of earrings that I made in a livestream with my Jewel Box group.

Please consider joining the Jewel Box group. You will have access to livestreams every month and, depending on the membership level you choose, a zoom call with me as well. You’ll also get weekly vlogs and updates, as well as a supportive community who helps each other out. You can post pictures of your work and ask for advice.

If you are interested in making the top that I’m wearing, I used the Debra Zebra Knit Top pattern from Style Arc.

I always get asked about my lilac jacket which came from Portmans but is no longer available. Here are a few similar ones I found on Amazon.

REMEMBER TO PIN THIS FOR LATER!!
