With just two techniques I’m going to make this pretty filigree flower necklace.
I’m using some really cool little filigree flower components to make a beautiful dainty necklace.
I’m going to show you how the two techniques that you need to know to make this necklace. These are very basic jewellery making techniques. With these two techniques under your belt, you will be able to make heaps of other pieces as well.
Materials

- Austrian Crystal Faceted Rondelle 8mm x 6mm Teal x4 (New Zealand / US)
- Corrugated Round Metal Bead 3mm x24 (New Zealand / US)
- Beaded Rondelle 4mm x 1mm Silver x16 (New Zealand / US)
- Coloured Glass Pearl Beads 6mm Blue x8 (New Zealand / US)
- Coloured Glass Pearl Beads 4mm Aqua x8 (New Zealand / US)
- Jump Rings Round 4mm x 0.8mm – Silver x19 (New Zealand / US)
- Beadsmith German Style Wire 22 Gauge 10m Silver x 1 mm (New Zealand / US)
- Jump Rings Round 6mm x 1.1mm – Silver x1 (New Zealand / US)
- Mother and Son Chain 6mm x 3mm x 1m Silver x 50cm (New Zealand / Similar Product US)
- Plated Lobster Claw Clasp 10.5mm x 5mm Platinum x1 (New Zealand / US)
- Teardrop Chain End Dangle 7mm Silver x1 (New Zealand / US)
Tools
The tools you will need to make all of this necklace are as follows:
- Chain Nose Pliers x 2 pairs (New Zealand / US)
- Xuron Flush Cutters (New Zealand / US)
- Round Nose Pliers (New Zealand / US)
- 1-Step Looper 1.5mm (New Zealand / US)
I used the 1-Step Looper but you could use round nose pliers instead.
